Bootcamps are an easy way to try and learn the foundations of these dances in 1 or 2 days!
What you will learn: 
rhythm and basic step basic patterns that will help you dance well at parties leading and following techniques dance position and step technique And if we have enough time we will throw ourselves into the music and learn the first methods of musical interpretation!
During the bootcamps everyone changes partners to improve our learning experience and so we all improve together.
👥 ROLES
Traditionally men register as leader and women as follower but we accept people in either role. During the class you will dance for in the role that you registered.
😍 COUPLE/PARTNER OFFER
You can join with a loved one, friend, colleague, relative, during the class everyone changes partner.
This offer is for a leader (traditionally male) + a follower (traditionally female).
If you use the couple offer, both partners must register individually and select either the leader or follower role. Only in case it’s a gift/surprise you can register yourself twice.
Please include your partner’s name in the “additional information” field when registering.

Registrations go through Avec’s Mindbody system, you’ll need to create an account.
When joining both, purchase your 2x pass when registering for the first one, then register for the second!
When purchasing for your partner, repeat the process.
ALL REGISTRATIONS
During registration select the role you will be dancing as. In general when it’s the first time dancing men dance as leaders and ladies as followers. But more we accept anyone in any role and recommend experienced dancers to join in the opposite roles to improve their dancing.
COUPLE / PARTNER REGISTRATIONS
When registering with a partner, both will need to register individually as all registrations are personal. If its a gift you can register yourself twice but purchasing a leader and follower pass.
Please mark the first and last name of your partner in the registration notes if possible.
REGISTERING FOR 2 BOOTCAMPS/TRYOUTS
When signing up for the 1st try-out purchase the 2x pass, then the remain session will remain available on your account. Then sign up for the 2nd try-out.
ALL SALES & REGISTRATIONS ARE FINAL
All registrations are for the selected date, time, teachers.
No refunds, in case you can’t come we can give you a complimentary pass for a later date if available or you can sell/give away your spot to someone. Contact Omar through WA if you can’t make it.

FAQ
Definitely! We actually recommend starting both at the same time! Learning both Salsa & Bachata will ensure you become an all-round dancers from the get go and you can dance at the Latin parties non-stop. We dance multiple dances ourselves and can help you develop fast in becoming an all round social dancer. Obviously it all depends on ones calendar and personal interest.
Wear something comfortable!
Some people come straight from work and wear their work clothing, others come with other comfortable clothing.
No outdoor shoes are permitted on the dance floor.
Please take indoor shoes with non-marking soles. Optionally you can just dance in socks but this might be slippery.
At some point. once you have decided to continue dancing more, you might want to consider buying shoes specifically for social dancing.
During all group classes at Avec everyone changes partner to improve the learning process.
If you are interested in learning only with your partner we would recommend you to contact us for Private Lessons.
You actually don’t need to go to classes to go to Salsa & Bachata parties! Like any other pub/bar you can just go and meet people in a lively environment.
We recommend students to go to as many parties as possible as soon as possible! This will greatly help develop your dancing faster and get inspired! If you want to check out events that we organise through I Dance Helsinki check out this link
We’ll teach you enough foundations in the first bootcamp to get you started. In the Progressive course during the first 3-4 classes you will already have a foundation to dance comfortably at a party.
But like with anything, it takes time to develop new skills.
If you are not sure yet or want to get a head-start you can book a private lesson with us.
Our private lessons for 1 or 2 persons are:
