Join our weekly Progressive Courses during our Autumn or Spring Season, the best way to learn dancing and you want to commit for 1 season or longer! Our Beginners Courses are also called 🟢 Green Level. As we dance Salsa, Bachata & Kizomba our aim is to get you dancing multiple dances as fast as possible so you can dance all night at parties!
This is the right level for you if:
– You are complete new to partner dancing
– You have danced other dances but are new to Salsa / Bachata / Kizomba
You dance Salsa, Bachata and/or Kizomba and attended our past courses or have attended course somewhere else. If you are not sure what level to join contact us and explain your background and optionally book a private lesson for a level-check.
Improver/Intermediate Courses – 🔵 Blue Level
This is where people stay the longest, 1.5-3 years, some people never go higher than this level. You can join this level if you have attended a beginners course for at least 3-6 months.
– You know the basic steps, moves, rhythm
– You looking to further develop your partner dancing skills.
Intermediate/Advanced Courses – 🔴 Red Level
At this level we dive deeper into techniques, do more complex combinations, focus musicality, body movement, body isolations and anything else that will keep you developing as a social dancer.
In general you have been attending classes and dancing socially at least 2 years. For dancers that have been at the Imp/Int level less than 1-1,5 years and are transitioning to this Int/Adv level we recommend attending both levels during the same season for at least 1 or 2 seasons.
– You have a solid foundation
– You can dance socially without going off time
– You wanna have a constant desire to keep improving
Intensive training, during the season these take place during weekends, off season they can also take place on weekdays.

2 to 8 hours of intensive trainings divided over 1 or 2 days, taking place several times throughout the year. A great way to try a dance before a longer course or if you can’t commit for longer courses but still want to learn the foundations of a dance. The bootcamps are designed for complete beginners and We recommend people to take the beginner bootcamps several times if you can’t commit to progressive courses!
This is for your if:
– You are complete new to partner dancing
– You have danced other dances but are new to Salsa / Bachata / Kizomba
– You have danced already but want to improve your foundations
Several times during the season we’ll offer Intensives and Bootcamps for dancers of all levels. We’ll focus on improving foundations and skills that apply to everyone. These are not suitable for complete beginners!

Private lessons are a great way to get all the attention of the teacher(s) for you.

You can take private lessons alone, with a partner, or as a small group.

These are the fastest way to learn these dances and cover the most important foundations from our Beginner Courses. They take place 2 or 3 times per year.
If you want to continue learning you can join our progressive seasonal courses at the improver/intermediate (blue) level.
Kizomba & Dominican Bachata are for both complete beginners and anyone that had been dancing.
Salsa On2 is only for those that have been attending dance classes in the past from any style, the pace is faster.
Can’t make it foto 1 or 2 classes of the 6 days?
Ask us! Depending on your dance experience you might be okay with missing one or 2 days, or we can find a time for a private. For complete beginners missing a day is not an option.

During registration select the role you will be dancing as. In general when it’s the first time dancing men dance as leaders and ladies as followers. But more we accept anyone in any role and recommend experienced dancers to join in the opposite roles to improve their dancing.

With weekly progressive classes you will be amazed how much you will learn in 1 season!
All in a group with people eager to learn to dance! During classes everyone changes partners to improve our learning experience and so we all learn together.
At the parties many times there is Salsa and Bachata played so if it fits your schedule we recommend you to join both straight away!
The exact ending date depends re might be some break weeks so the exact ending date of the course will be based on the amount of break weeks.are 18 classes, but the season is a bit longer as we reserve some spare weeks in case we need to cancel classes for some reason
Can’t make it for the first classes or will miss a few classes?
No worries! Many people miss the first 1 or 2 classes due to travel, or miss several classes during the season due to family, work trips or other commitments.

MISSING CLASSES
No stress if you can’t make it to the first 1 or 2 classes or miss few classes during the season for whatever reason! Many people miss a few classes due to work, family, trips, holidays plans. For missed classes you get up to 3 Social Fridays / course which are valid till the end of September and can be used for Avec Social Fridays. These are complimentary personal party passes.
SEASON DURATION
There are 18 classes, but the season is a bit longer than 18 weeks. This is due to possible break weeks, which we announce as soon as confirmed, or, cancelled classes if we need to cancel for some reason. E.g. if we get sick.

LEADER OR FOLLOWER
When registering you will need to select if you will be joining the course as a leader or follower.
Traditionally men have been the leaders and women the followers but we accept any gender in either role.
If it’s your first time attending classes at Avec you will need to create an account during the registration process.
REGISTRATION WITH PARTNER
You can register for the course directly using the direct payment or payment plan. In the notes section write your partners first and last name.
All registrations are personal and in general your partner needs to register separately, however the system allows you to pay for your partner by adding them as family member, please contact Omar first for instructions.

We aim to keep a good balance in classes. If the waitlist registration button shows register first for the waitlist. Once your spot is confirmed you will be notified to complete the course registration.
